  • Beagle Rescuers In Court After Taking Puppies From Animal Testing

    • 18 Animal Rising supporters attended Cambridge Magistrates Court yesterday [25/07/24], pleading not guilty to burglary charges. • The charges relate to the rescue of 20 beagle puppies on 20 December 2022 from MBR Acres, a Cambridgeshire breeding facility that supplies up to 2000 beagle puppies a year to the animal testing industry.     • This morning, Animal Rising has revealed the rescue of a sick hen, named “Babs,” from an RSPCA Assured Farm.     • The RSPCA removed all recipes containing “RSPCA Assured” meat, eggs and dairy from its website yesterday (09/06/24).   • Grand National Conviction for Motorway Blockade on the M57

    • Seven Animal Rising supporters have been found guilty of “wilful obstruction of a public highway” today at Liverpool Magistrates Court following a three-day trial. • An eighth defendant was due to be tried for the offence of stopping a vehicle on a motorway but this case was dropped on day one of the trial, 22/05/24. • The group closed down the M57 on 15/4/23 in protest of the Grand National, as other supporters scaled fences and entered the racecourse, delaying the race by around 15 minutes.
